The Joybird experience leaves you warm and happy whether or not you’re buying an amazing piece. We had the pleasure of meeting many sales associates in Joybird today that were wonderful but the one that truly stands out to us is Carissa, she connected with us on a personal level and was very honest with us! Very helpful sales staff. Joybird is on the first floor inside the mall. Either entrance will get you there. We ordered a sofa about 6 weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. It's very nice looking and a solid piece of furniture.
I liked this new furniture store in downtown Brooklyn. If you're looking for very modern pieces you should check this place out. I really liked the choice of beautiful Fabrics. The style was a little too strident and sharp for my taste -- I like my furniture to be coziness driven, but I think the furniture would look good in many of the new apartments that are in the area. Get that new-Brooklyn look! The shop keepers were very friendly. Definitely worth having a look. It's a nice location.read more

When you get your “expected ship date” add about three months to it. We ordered two chairs in 2012 and our experience was great: lovely chairs and on time shipping so we went back to Joybird for 8 dining chairs. We ordered in March and were told they would be ready by May 1-7. It’s now the end of May and we are told that they will be here in two weeks. This is a complete first world problem for us but wanted to warn potential buyers nonetheless.read more

DO NOT PURCHASE Joybird furniture. The worst experience EVER, and I buy a lot of furniture. The quality was terrible. I bought the Anton Daybed. The attachment brackets were crooked, the seams were off, and the padding was lopsided. They tried to convince me that since it's handmade, it's unique. Artisanal. NO! It was crap. A simple QC check before shipping would never have allowed it out of the warehouse. Then they wanted me to agree to having a "furniture medic" come fix my brand new sofa. Come over, take it apart, a one time courtesy, etc. NO! I returned it. They said they processed the refund on 5/31 and would take 3 to 5 days to show up on my account. Well, it's 6/12 and still no credit. Lots of stalling. Lots of lies. I had to dispute the charges. This company SUCKS. Again, DO NOT BUY, unless you like low quality furniture and headaches. I wasn't going to write a negative review because I thought that maybe it was a one-time mistake. Maybe they were teaching someone how to make furniture and sew, and this was that person's first attempt. However, since they have given me the runaround on my credit, I thought other buyers should know what they are getting into. If I stopped one person from purchasing, then I have done my job. (Also, they blocked me from reviewing my purchase on their site.)They should also credit me back the $60 I tipped the delivery and pick-up people, since I ended up without a sofa. I ended up ordering from ROOM AND BOARD a similar sofa that I was able to customize. So much better, and worth the extra couple of bucks.read more

I have never had a worse experience ordering furniture in my life. Just writing this review makes my blood boil. I ordered a leather sofa that was "in stock and ready to ship in 5 days!" from Joybird. I got an email a couple days later saying I could follow the progress and will be given updates as the couch went through the steps to getting to me-- how awesome! It was bull. No updates for a week. Hmmm, wasn't it supposed to ship out in 5 days? I called and chatted with multiple reps. Each one told me something different. One told me it would ship in "2 days, so sorry about that!"One told me "it already shipped 2 days ago, it's on it's way!" When I asked for a tracking number they couldn't give me one.When I called back a few days later to get a tracking number, the rep said it hadn't shipped yet.When I called back a few days later, they didn't know where my sofa was or when it would ship out. When I called back a few days later the rep said it shipped out today. I told her I hadn't gotten an email confirmation. She said I should soon. I got four the next day.Finally the couch arrived. DAMAGED. The customer service rep on the phone could not have been ruder. I wanted to cry. After the entire process I should have just returned it and went through a more reputable, honest company that actually worked well. But I was so exhausted that I just took it. Hopefully this review keeps people from buying from Joybird. I promise it's not worth it. STAY AWAY.read more
